The African American Project 2035
There is no quick solution to correct centuries of bigotry and race-based politics.
In 1877, Reconstruction collapsed in the Confederate States of America, forcing six million to migrate North, East, and West.
In 2025, there is nowhere for us to go.
We need to rebuild, beginning with our communities and it may take generations.
Bronzeville, Harlem, Tulsa, Rosewood, and hundreds of other Black communities once prospered.
The whileBlack Chronicles’ Historical Fiction Series unmasks the effects of racism in Black America through creative storytelling about these communities.
For too long, we have depended on the good nature of politicians, regardless of party affiliation, court orders, and the Constitution.
The only laws they respected were the Jim Crow Laws in the Confederate States of America.
Project 2035
The 107 HBCUs across 21 states, the District of Columbia, and the U.S. Virgin Islands are at the hub of Project 2035.
