Alvin M Hayes

Alvin M Hayes is the creator and successful author of the whileBlack Chronicles’. He interviewed on YouTube's “Tell Me About Your Book” series, was a speaker on several African American-focused podcasts similar to “Writing While Black” and was featured on Miami Dade Library's Local Author Series program. 

He is passionate about re-living history through compelling stories depicting African American experiences, sophistication, and accomplishments, regardless of the era. His stories are described as "informative and entertaining." Alvin's novels are sold in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, and Australia. 

Alvin, a native of Hartford, CT, now resides in South Florida. He holds a BS in Sociology from Tennessee State University and is a Life Member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity. He is a member of the South Florida Writers Association (SFWA)

When not working on his craft, Alvin enjoys golf, visiting  African American Museums, listening to jazz, and caring for Fred the Clownfish in his small saltwater aquarium, a thankless task.
